Nicotiana mutabilis
A species found recently in Brazil, it has swept through the west coast in a very short time,
due to it's ease of culture and stunning good looks. It tolerates the Valley heat well, but is
as susceptible to geranium budworm as the rest of the Nicotiana clan. It prefers sun, regular watering and
fertilizing and so far has proved annual, but gently self sows. Growing to three feet tall, it fits
perfectly in the middle of mixed borders. The flowers start out white and age to deep pink.
By the end of summer it is a billow of flowers.
